About Me

I'm Lisa, the owner and principle of Sole Mate Podiatry. As a resident of Brighton, I've been providing services across Sussex for many years. I specialise in treating nail and skin problems such as ingrowing toenails, fungal and thickened nails, verrucae, cracked heels, corns and calluses. With a background in reflexology, this adds to my ability to take a holistic view of healthcare.  As soon I started my degree in podiatry, I knew it was a perfect fit and I genuinely love my vocation. I left university with a first-class honours degree, and won the coveted research prize, but it was helping and meeting new people that really drove my passion and enthusiasm for this career. As my patient, you can be confident of having 100% of my attention and expertise from your very first appointment. I'm dedicated to providing an exceptionally caring and personalised patient experience, which encapsulates the ethos and philosophy here at Sole Mate Podiatry.

About me
Hi, I’m Malaika Malik, a podiatrist dedicated to providing expert, compassionate care. With seven years in the NHS, I specialize in managing complex diabetic foot conditions and lead the acute sector at Sussex Community Trust. I run MDT clinics alongside consultants to help prevent serious complications, ensuring patients receive the highest level of care.
Alongside my NHS role, I have experience in private practice where I treat a range of nail and skin conditions, including ingrowing toenails, fungal infections, verrucae, corns, and calluses. My approach is always patient-centered, combining clinical expertise with a friendly and approachable manner to make every patient feel at ease.
In addition to hands-on care, I have a passion for teaching. I spent two years as a lecturer at the University of Brighton, helping train the next generation of podiatrists. I also completed my MSc in Advanced Podiatry in 2024, further deepening my expertise in managing complex foot conditions.
Whether treating high-risk cases in the NHS or helping patients with everyday foot concerns, my goal is to provide expert care with warmth, understanding, and a personal touch. Looking after your feet is key to your overall well-being—so if you need advice or treatment, I’m here to help you put your best foot forward!
